A Birthday to RememberTsuna walked home from school that day with a troubled look on his face. He was deep in thought, his brows furrowed and his mouth set into a mild frown as he wondered what he was going to do about that.
"So? Have you thought about what you're going to do for Gokudera's birthday already?"
Tsuna hadn't been able to get those words out of his head ever since he had heard them last night from Reborn. He couldn't believe that Gokudera-kun was turning fifteen already, and tomorrow too! Tsuna hadn't heard anything about it before. No one had mentioned it, not even the birthday boy himself.
I wonder if Yamamoto already knows Tsuna frowned slightly at that thought. Had he perhaps been the last one to find out? Why hadn't anyone said anything? Why hadn't Gokudera-kun told him? It seemed like it would be something that the other would do. After all, didn't he want to celebrate the day with Tsuna?
Tsuna bit his lip and wondered if perhaps the other had told him,
Stupidity is ContagiousIt's not until everything is finally over that the thought resurfaces.
Well, that's actually a bit of a lie; because really, you haven't been able to stop thinking about it since it happened. It's been lingering in the back of your mind, prodding into your thoughts despite the fact that you've been fighting for your own life in hopes to protect everyone.
You think of his battered body; the blood running down his wounds; his pained face; the smile he gives upon seeing youas always so eager to please.
Why? You wonder long and hard.
Why you? Why does he see you as someone worth all of this? Why doesn't he see the worth that he himself has?
You care about him, you realize after all of this. He's become important to you somewhere along the way, and you don't really think you can bear to see him die.
You need to do something about this.
Things have changed of course. He doesn't jump in front of cars anymore in a rush to see you. He doesn't dog your every step alt
The End of the Straw HatsThe silence is deafening. Usopp stares transfixed, horrified, at the spot where Zoro was supposed to be. The place Zoro was just a couple seconds ago.
His heart is pounding.
"Z-zoro..." Usopp is trembling, mouth gaping and throat making keening noises of disbelief. His hand is clutching tightly at his weapon, and he wants to shake his head madly in denial because he can't- he can't process this.
It's not true it can't be...
The ground at his knees, the ragged breaths that are painfully moving his chest, the deafening silence that's swallowing the clearingsomething, finally, breaks.
"D-DAMN YOU!" Usopp screams out what has been bubbling up in the thick tension, lashing out in blind panic and anger at Kuma who hasn't made a move since Zoro's banishment.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO ZORO?!" He demands, foolishly, ragingly, even though he's terrified that he could be next, even though tears are threatening to fall from his eyes. "HE WAS... HE WAS JUST... RIGHT HERE!" Usop
It's Monday AgainGokudera feels hassled.
He's down to his last box of cigarettes, and he knows it's not going to be enough to last him through this week, especially not after getting magnificently fired the day before and with the rent coming up in three days.
He hates Mondays.
Gokudera glares at the ceiling of his room as his alarm clock blares loudly into his left ear. He shuffles out of bed in a bad mood that remains even after he downs a quick cup of coffee and takes an even quicker shower.
His hands are twitching in irritation as he remembers the jerk who started this all. The stupid, idiotic, perverted moron who couldn't keep his hands to himself, so Gokudera beat him up and left him bleeding over the countertop of the bar.
It pissed him off just remembering. Blowing up his boss' office after getting fired was not enough retribution, in Gokudera's opinion. He contemplates finding out where he lives for further payback, but he doesn't have the time for things like that, not when he's in the
SearchingAxel watched enraptured as Roxas continued his training. He had been quietly observing the shorter Nobody for a while now, admiring the fluid movements and aerobic turns performed before his eyes. He was captivated, entranced by every puff of breath exhaled, inhaled, with a soft weariness, contentmentfeelings Roxas couldn't possibly feel, feelings Axel couldn't possibly describe; and Roxas took no notice of green piercing eyes, mind solely focused in the flurry dance of his keyblades against the coarse concrete.
The sun was setting over the town, light tender and tranquil, soft: it is to this image that the pair relax to, leaning against the smooth wall of the clock tower.
It is quiet with only the soft murmur of bustling towners heading off home.
The air is warm, caressing their skin with calidity and heat, and it is this that they feel; carnal, and vivid, and real, much like the sweet-salty taste of their popsicles on their tongues. They wished this could last forever. This

"You're dismissed. We have a mission tomorrow morning, don't be late!"
A poof later had a miffed Sakura muttering about 'late sensei's' and 'bad examples' as she left the training grounds, with little to no goodbyes.
"Sasuke!" an arm draped around his shoulders "Buy me some ramen!" was Naruto's loud demand as he dragged him off to the ramen stand.
"Buy your own food, you moron." He muttered as he detangled himself from the other's hold.
"Sasuukkeeee~" the blonde whined. Arms that were previously not around his waist tightened as a face snuggled into his neck.
"Please?" the voice of a small, kicked puppy whined at him as a face rubbed against the juncture of his collarbone.
"F-fine, just stop that. They're staring at us again."
